The library was established with a total floor space of 3,871 M2 in March, 1991, at the same time as the university. Collecting and categorizing Korean and foreign books, academic journals, audio-visual materials, and CD-ROMs, the library assists all academic activities, technological development, teaching, and educational activities.
The library put an emphasis on an on-line system from the opening and completed its computerization of all operations of the library. The library offers an active service in collecting up-to-date information and assisting academic activities with on-line information searching systems, CD-ROM Network systems, E-journals, on-line information coping systems, SDI service, and on-line book purchasing request system.

As the nucleus of the 21th century employment-oriented university, the library has put a lot of efforts in collecting educational materials and now keeps 250,000 books, 839 journals, 2,615 academic data bases and E-journals, 3,600 multi-media materials. The library also operates an affiliated medical library and offers a medical data service.

The library is doing its best to share academic dept information with other institutes in Korea by reaching information-sharing agreement among many industrial companies, academic institutes, and research centers.

Reading Room Information

The stack Room keeps books categorized in their subjects on East and West and offers checking-out, returning, reservation, and extension services. Users are allowed to carry in their belongings.

| Reference Room (4th Floor) |

This room is composed of four sections; reference book, thesis, periodicals, and newspaper sections. Users cannot check out books, but they can copy the materials needed.

ˇ¤Reference Book Section :
This section contains encyclopedias, dictionaries, law books, who's who, statistics resources, almanacs, maps, and so on.
ˇ¤Thesis Section :
This section contains many Korean and foreign thesis and dissertations in alphabetical order of writers and institutions. Students can fill out the request form and use the materials.
ˇ¤Periodical Section :
Korean and foreign academic journals, magazines, and journals of academic circles are displayed. Filling out the "book loan form", students can read the journals which the library does not have on its shelves.

All the operations of the library have been strengthened by a multimedia system. This section is equipped with 24 private booths and 48 searching PCs--not only to search for information but also to surf through the Internet and find the latest information and do its part as a digital library for the student's research. It also contains may cassette tapes, CD-ROMs, Laser disks, Video tapes, Video CDs.
