Fine Arts and Design

This school combines Korean style Painting, Western Painting, Tourism Sculpture and Visual Communicative Design. As graduates, students will be able to enter a variety of creative careers, including painter, teacher, art reviewer, curator, cartoonist, and manager of a gallery and artist institute. Career preparation is facilitated by relevant study and practice and by creative and individualized sense of art.


Korean style Painting Major [Go to Homepage]

  Students are expected to acquire the spirit and the skills of Korean traditional arts, especially Baekje Dynasty's arts, in order to develop, modernize, and internationalize them creatively. This course is designed to prepare students to be artists who can lead professional careers in these fields.

Western Painting Major [Go to Homepage]

  This major began in 1995. Students are expected to acquire various techniques of Western arts in historical sense along with their academic study. This course leads students to professional careers which can demonstrate their creative and individual abilities in the arts.

Commercial Sculpture Major [Go to Homepage]

  Students are expected to study the great Korean traditional sculpture techniques in making the statute of the Buddha, painting altar portraits of the Buddha, as well as various medals, and statuettes. This program is designed to enable students, who preserve and develop these skills, to contribute to the promotion of the Korean industry for tourism.

Visual Communication Design Major [Go to Homepage]

  This major provides students with various practical courses for visual design which enable students to achieve professional careers in design. Students develop the sense of formative arts, a scientific mind, international perspective and practical skills, through international relations and cooperation with industry.
